One night I woke up with a single question: who am I without a role or job title? I got out of bed, sat down behind my laptop and closed my eyes. Images from my past appeared, interspersed with moments I did not yet know.

I started writing.

In the weeks that followed, I recognised events I had described behind my laptop only shortly before. Now they were actually happening.

I thought I was writing a story, but the story was writing me.

For three months, I typed day and night. Until it was finished.

Later, I got into my red camper and drove away. No planned route, following my story. For eighty days. That journey took me to southern Spain. That is where the book found its final form and I prepared it for print.

Noah has his story. And you have yours. As you read, you look through his eyes, but you always bring yourself with you. Your memories, desires, choices and everything you have experienced along the way.
